Schedule: Onsite Monday- Friday
Location: Salt Lake City County
Job Summary:
NOW CFO is working with a growing construction company to find a strong controller to join their team. We are seeking a permanent Controller who will play a vital role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of projects. They are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting the internal audit, and implementing effective financial controls.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including project cost summaries, cash flow analysis, and profitability analysis.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely billing, invoicing, and collections
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
- Participate in project meetings, providing financial insights and guidance to support decision-making
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in construction financial management, applying relevant knowledge to enhance project financial outcomes
- Oversee payroll.
- Oversee AP and procure to pay process.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Construction Controller is a must.
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Computer Ease is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Work in Progress (WIP) reporting and Job cost accounting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands
